Coordinated Research
Many different organisations fund health research in the UK. The UKCRC has developed a coherent approach to health research funding by providing a forum to coordinate the activities of funding bodies, and by developing an evidence base to inform strategic planning.
Health Research Classification System
The UKCRC developed a bespoke Health Research Classification System for classifying all types of research across all areas of health and disease.
Health Research Analysis
The Health Research Classification System was used to analyse the health research portfolios of UK government and charity funders in 2006 and again in 2009/2010.
Joint Funding Initiatives
The UKCRC has provided a forum to facilitate coordination between funding bodies leading to joint initiatives in public health and infection research.
