UKCRC Regulatory and Governance Advice Service
Changes to the regulatory and governance environment have increased the need for consistent and definitive advice for the UK clinical research community. The UK-wide UKCRC Regulatory & Governance Advice Service was launched in 2007, to provide:
- Support for enquirers including advice providers in R&D offices, clinical trials units staff and those in Topic-Specific and Comprehensive research networks
- A route for handling complex queries e.g. those involving multiple regulatory issues
- Access to a range of web-based resources, including Tool Kits, Q&A site & best practice guidance.
The service is supported by a network of regulatory and governance bodies. Queries to the UKCRC R&G Advice Service are being prioritised to ensure that authoritative and timely responses are provided. The Service is jointly coordinated by the NIHR Clinical Research Network Coordinating Centre Regulatory Team and the Medical Research Council Regulatory Support Centre.

The UKCRC Advice Service provides a joined-up approach for the many elements involved in UK regulatory and governance.
