Collaborative Commercial Research
In June 2009 the UKCRC held a workshop to assess the need for and explore the possibility of developing model agreements for collaborative commercial research. The workshop was attended by key stakeholders including those from the pharmaceutical and devices industries, the health service, universities and innovation specialists. A report of this meeting is now available to download.
Following the meeting, the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) and the Medical Research Council (MRC) are establishing a Working Group to take forward the development of national model agreements for collaborative commercial clinical research, including experimental medicine studies. This will build on the discussions at the workshop and established good practice. The Working Group will be chaired by Professor William Rosenberg and will consist of representatives from the NHS, universities and industry.
The Working Group has now produced model agreements. Available to download here on the NIHR website.
